Intravenous (IV) Nutrition therapy is a protocol of feeding minerals, vitamins, and amino acids directly into the blood and is used to fix intracellular nutrient deficiencies. IV treatment with nutrients is a very effective treatment since we can provide very high doses of nutrients safely into a vein that would not be tolerated if administered orally. Vitamins, antioxidants, amino acids and certain other vital nutrients may have a remarkably potent drug-like effect when given directly into a vein, but without the side effects often seen with prescription drugs. Oral consumption of these high doses is just not possible as a result of absorption limits from the digestive system. All the compounds we use are natural and are safely administered intravenously.
Intravenous treatments are exceptionally successful since they bypass problems associated with oral administration, such as stomach upset, absorption difficulties, and lack of effectiveness, with no gastrointestinal side effects that could restrict dosing. A good example of this is vitamin C, which may only be obtained in rather tiny quantities orally prior to inducing stomach upset. By comparison, very large doses of Vitamin C, that can be quite useful for the immune system, may be administered safely and with no GI side effects.
